About Ha Hatley, MD

Some careers are built on big moments. Others are built on clear thinking and steady execution. Dr. Ha T. Hatley’s path falls into the second group. She did not rush into a niche. She built a wide base first. Then she focused. “I’ve always believed that strong foundations give you better options later,” she says.

Today, she is a board-certified physician in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine. She treats patients across the U.S. through telehealth. Her work focuses on long-term health, not quick fixes.

Dr. Hatley was born and raised in Vietnam. She moved to the United States at 17. That transition shaped how she approaches work. “Starting over forces you to think long-term,” she says. “You realise progress takes time.”

She completed all of her education in the U.S. She earned a biology degree from Smith College. Then a Master of Science from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She later completed her MD at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Her path was structured. Each step built on the last. “I didn’t want shortcuts,” she says. “I wanted skills that would last.”
